Christmas would probably be my favorite time of year. I love getting together with my family and opening presents. Every year, I go to my grandma's house and stay until Christmas morning. Then, we all wake up real early, usually around 5 in the morning! We go to my aunts house and me and one of my other aunts pass out everyone's gifts. When they are all passed out, we see who can open all of their gifts the fastest. It's a lot of fun. When we all finish, we eat breakfast then go to sleep while my grandma cooks lunch. :) Then we go back to my grandma's house and just hang out with the family. Christmas is usually a great time for me and my whole family to get together. And it should be now since I don't get to see them anymore.
But, it doesn't feel like Christmas to me. I don't really know why. I think it's because I'm not around my dad anymore since he's getting married. We don't talk hardly at all anymore. And I miss that. We used to be so close and Christmas used to be something very special for us. I guess things can't always stay the same. I miss my dad. And I'm going to miss him on Christmas. Along with the rest of my family that I won't get to see. I hope they have a wonderful Christmas.
