Halloween Controversy..

I think they are making too big of a deal out of it. If it wasn't for that one person wearing a costume he probably knows he shouldn't have wore, then everyone would still get to wear their costumes. The school should just ban Walter from wearing a costume, since he was the one to ruin it for everyone else. That really isn't fair that he did that but got everyone else punished because of his dumb choices.

If I Was Invisible...

Do you ever wish you could be invisible? Well, I do. At times, when people are talking about me, or if someone embarrasses me, I wish that no one could see me. When I get embarrassed, my face turns red and people usually stare more. That, sometimes, makes it worse. No one likes when they get talked about, but everyone wants to here what others are saying about them. I think being invisible would be an advantage because you could find out so much by spying on a person to see what they say about you and/or others. But, with advantages, comes disadvantages. A disadvantage about being invisible is that no one would see you and you couldn't talk to anyone. But, I like being visible just fine. :) Of course, every now and then it would be great to be unseen, just not for too long.

Memories..

One of my favorite memories was at the end of my 8th grade year. We had our 8th grade graduation and I remember how everyone was so excited to get into high school. Everyone was dressed so nice and their parents were too. There were hundreds of pictures being taken and a lot of signing people's yearbooks. When we got to the auditorium, everyone got in their seats and waited for it to begin. The principal started off by saying what a good year it had been and how he was proud of our goup of students. He told us he would never forget us or the memories we had given him his first year as principal. After they called our names to get our "diplomas," they played a video some parents had made. I remember feeling sad as the video played with the song "Friends Forever" because of the words in it. I guess several other people felt sad too because as I looked around I began to notice them tear up. As the video went on, and the song kept playing, I started to listen to the lyrics more and more. I think after everyone started paying attention to the lyrics, it made us all think. What's going to happen after we graduate? Will we still be friends? Who's going to be doing what? And many more. That song really makes you think about life after graduation. Well, it made me think about it anyways. It makes me sad to think that in just 3 years, we'll all be going our different ways and doing different things. After being friends with everyone and getting so close to each other, its going to be hard having to leave them.

"
And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives
Where we're gonna be when we turn 25
I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same
But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out cause we're on a different track
And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day
Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without sound
And I keep thinking of the night in June
I Didn't know much of love, but it came too soon
And There was me and you, and then it got real blue
Stay at home talkin' on the telephone and
We would get so excited, we'd get so scared
Laughing at our selves thinking life's not fair
And this is how it feels

As we go on, we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change, from whatever
We will still be, friends forever

So if we get the big jobs and we make the big money
When we look back now, will that joke still be funny?
Will we still remember everything we learned in school?
Still be trying to break every single rule
Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man?
Can Heather find a job that won't interfere with her tan?
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly
And this is how it feels

La, la, la, la; yeah, yeah, yeah
La, la, la, la, we will still be friends forever

Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow?
I guess I thought that this would never end
And suddenly it's like we're women and men
Will the past be a shadow that will follow us round?
Will these memories fade when I leave this town
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly

La, la, la, la; yeah, yeah, yeah
La, la, la, la, we will still be friends forever

A New Tradition...

It's weird not having a
bonfire because I've never been at a school that didn't have one. I understand why people are concerned about us getting hurt, but I also think that they should have moved the bonfire somewhere else where it wouldn't get close to any houses. They could have also made a set limit for how close you can get to it. Instead of just totally doing away with it, just come up with an alternative place for the bonfire. But since that wont happen, I think that a new tradition would be to get out at noon on Homecoming Day, have the parade sometime after lunch, and then have the pep rally after that. I don't think that you should have the parade the day before or day after. Have everything on the same day. But not all crammed together. That's why they should let us out at noon so that there is plenty of time to do everything. :)

I Wish...

I wish there was a law that said cell phones are allowed in school and can be used at any time. This would be a good law because school would be so much more fun! I like coming to school-well sometimes-but again, it would be way more fun and alot of kids wouldn't get into trouble for using their phones like they do now. And the principal wouldn't have to waste so much time talking to students for doing that. :)
